PayLux ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Discord bot service ("Service"). Please read this policy carefully. By using PayLux, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using PayLux:
PayPal Email Address: When you set up withdrawals, you provide your PayPal email address
Security PIN: You create a 4-digit PIN for account security (stored as encrypted hash)
Transaction Messages: Optional messages you include with point transfers
Support Communications: Information you provide when contacting support
1.2 Information Automatically Collected
We automatically collect certain information when you use PayLux:
Discord User ID: Your unique Discord identifier (required for account management)
Discord Username: Your current Discord username and discriminator
Server/Guild ID: The Discord server where you use PayLux
Command Usage: Logs of commands you execute and their timestamps
Transaction Data: Records of purchases, transfers, and withdrawals
Subscription Information: Your active tier, subscription status, and expiration date
Balance Information: Your current point balance and transaction history
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We receive information from:
Discord: Basic profile information per Discord's API terms
PayPal: Payment confirmation data, transaction IDs, and payout status
We do not access your Discord messages, friends list, or activity on other servers. We do not store your PayPal password or financial account numbers.

Discord: As required by Discord's API Terms (Discord can see bot interactions)
All service providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and privacy commitments.
3.2 Legal Requirements

To protect the rights, property, or safety of PayLux, our users, or the public

PIN Protection: Your security PIN is stored as a bcrypt hash (one-way encryption)

However, no system is 100% secure. You use PayLux at your own risk and are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account and PIN.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations:
5.1 Active Accounts
While your account is active, we retain all your data to operate the Service.
5.2 Transaction Records
Financial transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Canadian law, even after account deletion.
5.3 Logs and Analytics
Usage logs are typically retained for 90 days for security and troubleshooting purposes.
5.4 Closed Accounts
When you close your account, we delete your personal information (name, email) within 30 days, but retain anonymized transaction records for legal compliance.
